Obela is the first Craft Cider Producer in Lithuania. We use Baltic apple varieties, grown in the region in the old days

We don’t pasteurize our cider, we ferment spontaneously using the apples' wild yeasts from unsprayed, biodiversity rich, traditional standard orchards and are as local to us as possible.

cider is gluten-free. being made from fresh apples, and apples are inherently gluten-free.

since ciders don’t use wheat or barley, they are naturally gluten-free. So drink up!

The production of craft cider is an environmentally friendly process with a minimal impact on nature.

Low sugar - low calories

Dry ciders allow the yeast to feed on the natural sugars to create a less sweet and higher alcohol content. So the dryer the cider, the lower sugar level in there.

Obela comes from apples which are accustomed to the harsher climates of this region. By blending local varieties, we produce crisp, dry apple ciders which would preserve and reflect the complexity and flavors of old Baltic apple varieties

Craft Baltic Cider

We started out by travelling to Herefordshire, Ross-on-Wye valley. The region is the heart of English cider making.

Cider makers there grow apple varieties which have been cultivated and used for cider making for centuries, such as Michelin, Dabinett or Yarlington Mill.

That gave us an idea to try using Apple varieties selected from long established local orchards, traditional winter varieties ensure a unique taste, due to their high content of tannins and other aroma.
